  • THE COMPANY'S HISTORY

     

     

    V & F Portelli & Sons Ltd. was founded in 1906 by Vincent and Francis Portelli to import and sell various products on the wholesale market.  Business commenced in premises in St. Paul Street, Valletta, where the firm was entrusted with the sole import and selling rights of various products. As the years rolled on, more important agencies were acquired, many of which are still being represented by V & F Portelli & Sons Ltd. today.

  • During the years of expansion, the company through various visits abroad, continued to add new and important foreign contacts and it was evident that it was time to find larger premises.  Two good opportunities presented themselves in November 1964.  The company bought a larger house again in St. Paul's Street No. 314.

  • In 1985 the company felt the need to expand and at the same time to centralize its operations. For this reason the decision was taken to move out of Valletta.  A suitable site was found on the Rabat Road. On the 1st December, 1988, the company started operating from these new premises.  Portelli Building in Notabile Road, Mriehel comprises Warehousing in the basement, where incoming and outgoing consignments as well as deliveries are handled rapidly, a Showroom and the Wholesale Department on the ground floor and Offices, the Board Room and a Seminar Room on the first floor.
